It has no clear voice, doesn’t ask questions to clearly understand what’s being communicated, and it doesn’t care! Worse, there’s no assurance your marketing message will connect with your target audience.

Can't my designer do this work?Designers are great! They give form and function to the written word. But designers aren’t taught anything about marketing, SEO, or writing for target audiences (which is odd, if you think about it, because that’s why small businesses come to them—to market their businesses!) A trained copywriter and SEO specialist understands how to talk to your market and to the search engines. Using StoryBrand’s 7-step proven method, I help your non-profit tell your story in a way that engages, connects, and motivates your target audience to action.

What is your work process for getting a solid message that works?I meet with you and/or your team and work through the StoryBrand framework. During our time together, I ask A LOT of questions to help you dig deeper into the objections your audience may have and their ultimate aspirations. This can take anywhere from 90 minutes to 3 hours, depending on how many people are involved. Once I have the information, it takes me about a week to write your marketing message.

Besides the website, how else can I use your work?What I create for you is the foundation for all of your marketing. You can use the company narrative as a brochure, for your About page, or, as a non-profit, part of fundraising. The information can also be used to create digital ads, info sheets, or really, any other form of advertising you want to do.
